What I've Been Up To: Week #20

Well, I can't believe it's week 20 already in the year. Only six more of these until my holidays from work and then my fun can really begin.

We had our final badminton practice night on the Monday of this week. Every year they pick a charity to donate money from the club by hosting a fun night for all members at the very end of the year. I'm going to keep practicing during the Summer as I've really enjoyed playing it this year. I know I was a few years out of the game, but I've definitely found my way back into again. The club does take a break for a few weeks in between the last club night and Summer nights but I'm hoping the jogging will keep me in shape for when it's back on again.

{Can you spot me in the back row??}

I made my way up to ikea where I picked up some cake domes (which I had badly needed), fake flowers and vases for the kitchen table, photo frame for the spare bedroom to be finally be able to put that print up and some storage boxes for a special project that's coming up very soon (a project that I'm very excited for Shane to start working on!

In terms of renovating, this week all I've been up to is adding some touches to the small spare bedroom. It's slowly coming together, although I still need to pick up a little lamp for the side table. The best thing about getting this wardrobe and having it in this room is that I finally have somewhere to put my wedding dress, and not have it in the attic. I can definitely see some purple pieces creeping in here.

I'm still working on Couch to 5k app. We're after completing week 2 this week. I've been loving seeing where I live in a bit more detail, especially as the weather's been very good to us. Not finding it too difficult yet, although we both think that we're going at a speed that probably we won't be able to keep up with as the weeks get harder. It's something that we're going to have to look at.

I  ended up going on a little road trip this week, ending up at Cabra Castle with my friend Sheila, who was going to be attending a wedding there and wanted to check out the place. We hadn't seen each other in a little while so what better way to catch up than being stuck in a car with each other for a few hours.
The grounds were absolutely stunning, and the hotel didn't look too bad either (Sheila actually gave it two thumbs up having stayed there).

The only issue is, now I want an archway in the garden - just need to find a place to fit one in!

{I even made a little friend while we were there!}
