Week one of the Summer holidays starts here. Roll on the next two months.
I started off the week as I'm meaning to go this Summer, trying to keep up with my healthy eating and exercising when I can. I met up with one of the girls from work, and we went walking on the Curragh. For someone who lives and works so close to the Curragh, it seems crazy that this was my first time walking out and about on it. It was a lovely day, probably too lovely for the huge jacket that I had worn. I love walking locally because you see so many places that you normally just drive by without giving them the time of day.
I got some special post in the form of a big red box from Emma Bridgewater during the week. I decided to avail of the sale that was on the website the week before. I've shown some of the pieces which I picked up, although some of them are been kept as a little surprise for another time.
An old work friend got married towards the end of the week, and I headed off to celebrate their day with them. She looked absolutely stunning, the venue was lovely, and the wedding was lots of fun. We definitely got put at a fun table (which makes all the difference at a wedding!)
Myself and Shane hadn't spent too much time together this week with him working so hard so we headed off on a Sunday drive, eventually ending up at Donadea Forest Park. Neither of us had ever been before, so it was nice to explore it together. I love going to these places with Shane as it just gives us time to catch up with each other, talk to each other without the pressures of everyday life eating at us.
Next week, my friend Aideen and her partner Hayley are popping down for a weekend stayover. I'm so excited to see them, and may have already started planning where I'm going to bring them. Roll on next Friday.
